How It Works

  • The player try to get a score as close as possible to a maximum (14).
  • You raise your score by pulling cards in a range of 1 to 7.
  • But be careful! If you hit a score of 15 or higher, you automatically lose.
  • The player goes first and can submit their score whenever they want to.
  • Then the House takes their turn and tries to beat the player, following the same rules.
  • Whoever ends up having the highest score without exceeding 15, wins.

Common Issues & Solutions

I can't score

The score always resets to 0 immediately after a card was drawn

Solution:

This can happen if, unfortunately, a new game was started while a backup has been performed. Just inform me asap (@Fire_I3laze in Discord or pm me).

Score was incorrectly raised

After I submitted my score, the machine went playing and suddenly increased my score, causing me to lose

Solution:

This only happens if you (or anyone else) accidentally pressed the "submit button" (left button) a second time. Then the machine rolls back to the player score and adds the pulled numbers there. If that happens, it is honestly your own fault because it is stated in the rules to only press the button once. But if you report it to me ingame while I am online, I'll mostly pay your bets back, yet your possibly good score will be lost

Game doesn't start

When I press the right button to start a new game, the machine refuses to start and the interface stays at the previous game states

Solution:

Just wait. The machine is still paying out the bets from the previous round. You or the person before you likely just lost to a high bet. If you pay attention you'll likely hear the Redstone Clock and Dropper working. The next round can be started as soon as the noise have turned silent

Machine freezes after start

When I press the right button to start a new game, the interface lights switch off and stay that way

Solution:

Just wait. You've likely put in a huge bet and the machine is counting. Due to limited Minecraft physics, this will take a noticeable time from ~32 Diamonds on. You can always check the bet barrel to see the progress. Once all diamonds are gone, the machine will pull the first card for you and you can go on.

Wrong / No Payout

The machine does not pay out correctly or not at all

Solution:

First check whether the machine is actually displaying your expected score. If that is the case, make sure that you have the in mind. If that is also the case and you are very sure the output is not matching your input * ratio, either contact me (@Fire_I3laze in Discord or pn me) or feel free to check the Diamond bet stock yourself if you know where it is. If the chest is not empty, I am afraid you are wrong and the machine did pay out correctly. But depending on the amount, I might be open to settle the discrepancy.
